The Ribes du vallat are so named because the plots are distributed on the hillsides (the "ribes" in Provençal) which border the ditch (the "vallat" in Provençal) which crosses the estate, establishing a link between the lands of the two families. In the spring, painters, fascinated by the perspectives and the multiple shades of green, like to put their easels there. It is a terroir at the bottom of the hill, very well exposed and very well drained, nestled in a setting of pines, cypresses of Provence, holm oaks, garrigue and olive trees.
